Synopsis for Baffin Bay to Rio Grande out 60 nm-
1006 PM CDT Thu Oct 18 2018

.SYNOPSIS...Moderate to strong northerly winds and elevated seas will
continue this evening as a coastal trough of low pressure remains
just off the lower Texas coast. Winds will decrease and seas
gradually subside overnight into early Friday as the ridge
weakens...but showers will continue along the trough. A stronger
ridge will build across north Texas and Oklahoma over the weekend
with low pressure along the Texas and Mexico border. The pressure
difference will increase winds and seas once again with more heavy
rainfall from showers and thunderstorms likely. Small Craft
Advisories will likely be needed over the weekend and into early
next week. The ridge and trough will weaken by Tuesday with winds
and seas subsiding.
